Position Requirements
| Position | Requirements |
| Librarian | – Master’s Degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited library school or registered by the New York State Education Department – Eligibility for a NY State public librarian’s professional certificate at time of application for appointment; possession of certificate at time of appointment – Civil Service examination may be required |
| Library Assistant | – Bachelor’s Degree – One or more year’s experience working in a library – Civil Service examination may be required |
| Clerk | – High School Diploma |
| Page | – Age 15 or older |
How To Apply
Fill out an employment application at Circulation or print out a completed application and either bring it with you to the Library, email bur-director@sals.edu or mail it to us. Openings are filled on an as-needed basis, and applications are kept on file for 180 days.
Note:
- We follow Civil Service regulations under supervision of the Saratoga County Personnel Department.
- No seasonal employment.
- Minimum hours apply.
