A company’s policy, a charity’s mission, a religious creed, a nation’s character — all are guidelines for living. Humans have personal philosophies. We find philosophy everywhere; on bumper stickers, tee shirts, in song lyrics, newspaper editorials, TV commercials, magazine ads, political speeches — even in comic strips.
Join retired Philosophy professor Roberta Boss in reacting to today’s headlines. No reading lists, no homework, no charge for these think tank exercises. Opinionated people wanted to explore current issues and then pick the brains of our panel of experts (old, dead philosophers) to see what they might have said about the problems confronting us today.
At the Town of Ballston Community Library in the Community Room on the following Thursdays from 10:30am to 12 noon.
Please register at the library or by calling 399-8174 ext. 2
